Dream Street, a childrens book written by Tricia Elam Alker and illustrated by Ekua Holmes, celebrates the vibrancy and history of a diverse neighborhood where dreams are nurtured. Inspired by this story, our spring exhibition will transform its pages into an immersive installation space where art helps us dream about what’s possible on our city streets today and in the future.
The exhibition will honor the intergenerational spirit of Dream Street, a place where wisdom and wonder can stroll hand in hand.
In the spirit of this intergenerational dream, this exhibition seeks to feature established and emerging artists alongside the young creatives in our Artventures program. We perhaps often think of professional life existing in spaces separate from the streets of our homes and communities and this exhibition seeks to explore what can happen when we model a holistic and integrated relationship between creatives of all kinds.
Save the Date! Dream Street opens to the public on May 27, 2026 with a Dovetail event starting at 6pm. More details to come!
