Dream Street, a children’s book written by Tricia Elam Alker and illustrated by Ekua Holmes, celebrates the vibrancy and history of a diverse neighborhood where dreams are nurtured. Inspired by this story, our summer exhibition transforms its pages into an immersive installation space where art helps us dream about what’s possible on our city streets today and in the future.
The exhibition will honor the intergenerational spirit of Dream Street, a place where wisdom and wonder can stroll hand in hand.
In the spirit of this intergenerational dream, this exhibition feature established and emerging artists alongside the young creatives in our Artventures program. We perhaps often think of professional life existing in spaces separate from the streets of our homes and communities and this exhibition seeks to explore what can happen when we model a holistic and integrated relationship between creatives of all kinds.
Dream Street is open to the public, and you can see the exhibition during our regular gallery hours, Tuesday - Saturday 11am -5pm
